Search for "LOVE"...

Love it… hate it… but you can’t escape it.

Go looking for it and it hides from you

Give up and it slowly peeks from its hiding place

Turn around and it comes running after you

Walk away and you collide into it.

People have various concepts and elaborate theories about love, be it about falling in love, finding love, making love, making another person fall in love, falling out of love, getting back love or keeping love. Some are interesting to hear, some difficult to practice, some are too romantic while others too practical. That doesn’t change the fact that our lives revolve around the magic word. Love does make the world go around.

Everybody is in a search for their love, their perfect man, their soul mate, their prince charming or their true love, whatever they may call it. How does one go about this Herculean task I wonder?

  • There are people who make an elaborate list of the qualities which they are looking for and keep their eyes open for people who match their criteria.
  • There are some who swear by love signs and keep a book a Linda Goodman under their pillow.
  • There are some who believe in the concept of trial and error. (Guaranteed results and some fun along the way)
  • And then there are some who trust the choice of their parents, siblings or friends and hope for the best.
  • There are others who just go about their lives and believe that it will happen, when it has to happen.

Which is the right way? You ask.

In love there is no right and wrong.

It’s either this way or that way. I can’t guarantee you that any of these ways will work. All I can say is have fun searching, because ultimately the journey matters more than the destination. If the search ends too soon you’ll be too tempted to search for something else. Too tempted to throw away the diamond to search for the stones.

  1. Have fun searching? A nice approach I suppose but a lot of us, including you, would want a certainty in life when it comes to this magic word. it does make the world go round. sadly. Searching for the stones :)
i see the conversation triggered this off.
